POLITICAL ACTIVITIES AND RELATION WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION
Student politics started through "Language Movement". At that time, I was a member of "Chattra Union" of the then East Pakistan.

When I was an Entrance examinee I was sent to jail with my elder brother Late Mirza Abdul Awal as his worker who was a candidate from Awami League in the "Jucto Front" election of 1954.

I was put into jail for the second time when I was a student of Rajshahi Government College. Speedy trial court sent me to the prison for the movement of 2006.

In my college and university life I was actively participated in all movements of Nineteen Hundred Sixties.

I was elected Joint Secretary of "All Pakistan University Student Union" which was formed in 1962.

My active participation was also in the movement launched towards an attainment of historical six points and students' eleven points' rights.

In mid sixties, I resigned from the Government Service. I was admitted in M. Sc. in the university. At that time, a strong movement was launched to regain the welfare and rights of the people related with agriculture and agricultural economy of the country. I conducted the all party students' movement continued for 172 days. That was the time of autocratic rule of Ayub and Yahia. Along with other 11 students, I have been expelled from the Agriculture University. Later on, the University authority was bound to withdraw expulsion the order under the heavy pressure of movement.

Due to my successful performance in conducting the movement, I have the opportunity to come in contact with the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujubur Rahman and Moulana Abdul Hamid Khan Vasani, the leader of the mass people of Bangladesh.

I was elected Chairman of South East Asia and Pacific Regional Technological Distribution International Committee for 1994 (head quarter in Delhi).

I was Secretary General of Bangladesh Veterinary Association from 1978-84, and also elected as President of the same society for the next two terms and successfully completed my job.

I was elected President of the Veterinary Council for 1988-92 and did my task with great contentment.

I served as elected President of "Animal-ethical Committee" of ICDDRB from 1989-2007.

I was elected Secretary General, Krishibid Institute of Bangladesh for 1980-82 and 1983-1984 and led the movement against the Martial-Law-Government.

I was also elected President of the said Institution for four terms from 1985-1994 and led the professional's movement as the President of "Prokrisi" as a convenor for 13 years.

I was one of the member of the five members committee of "Prokrisi Hard Core" from 1986 who were engaged in the movement against autocratic regime of President Ershad.

I led the movement as Chairman in favour of Prokisi from 1984-1991 as Secretary General of "BCS Co-ordination Committee".

As a Chairperson of the "Co-ordination Committee of Prokrisi", I was sacked under MLR9. Ershad govt. filed a departmental case against me. But the Government had to withdraw the case due to my victory in the writ petition lodged in the court against it.

I was one of the campaign associates of "Sheikh Hasina" in her election campaign of 1996.

I did perform my duties properly as personal representative of Sheikh Hasina leader of the Bangladesh Awami League in Election Commission and collected the election results and handed it over to her successfully.

I got the membership of Bangladesh Awami League on 3rd April, 1994 and tried my level best to make all movements amused successfully against the autocratic regime.

I undertook all sorts of measures for protecting my party workers from all kinds of repression, oppression and torture of the autocratic govt. and would give them legal, physical and monetary help after the election of 2001.

I was leading person in "Janatar Mancho" with Begum Motia Chowdhury in front of National Press Club in 1996 which ultimately led to the downfall of Khaleda's govt.

I led a barricade movement in Bangobandhu Avenue, Rassel Square, Shamoli and Adabar area in November 2006.

I was arrested in 21st December 2006 for leading the movement for dethroning President Iazuddin, for that I was in jail from December 21 to 24.

A vigorous programme had been undertaken for releasing the "Jononetri Sheikh Hasina" under my leadership in 21st April 2008 and I was convener of that special meeting where the workers of Awami League were present.

I made the "Gono-Shakhar Karmochuchi" successfully for releasing Sheikh Hasina where Awami League Presidium member Tofail Ahmed was the chief guest.

Inspite of my by-pass surgery and other illness I was always present in the court in all dates of the false cases filed against Sheikh Hasina.

I devotedly worked with Janab Zillur Rahman and Begum Motia Chowdhury against the reformist who were also engaged in minus-two-formula to eliminate Sheikh Hasina from the party's leadership.

These reformist tried to remove me from my Chairmanship of "Krishok League" and membership of the "Advisory Porishod". But they failed. Time is the best speaker and time will prove who was dedicated and devoted worker and who believes in the leadership of "Jononetri Sheikh Hasina.

I am a proud freedom fighter.
